Blog · uPVC Recycling
uPVC has a PR problem: it looks like plastic waste, so people assume landfill. The reality is the opposite - uPVC is a technically excellent recycling material.
Unlike many plastics, uPVC can be mechanically recycled multiple times without losing the properties that matter for building products. Old window profile becomes the core of new co-extruded profiles - recycled material inside, virgin uPVC outside.
Post-consumer frames (old windows and doors), post-industrial offcuts (fabricator waste), and process scrap all recycle through the same routes. Sorted, clean streams fetch the best outcomes; mixed, contaminated loads end up doing less good.
Recycling uPVC avoids landfill, displaces virgin PVC production, and keeps a durable material in use for decades longer. For London's window trade, it turns a disposal problem into an environmental credential.
Stacked rather than smashed, sorted rather than mixed, documented rather than dumped. Exactly what we ask for - and why collections are free.
